TiNi™ Gas Cylinder Penetrator

A Simple Means to Open High Pressure Cylinders

The EBAD Gas Cylinder Penetrator (GCP) is a simple means to open high pressure cylinders for a variety of applications ranging from venting to emergency inflation to release of breathing air. The Actuator is fully resettable and uses the same mechanism as our high reliability release devices. Our GCP can be configured with a variety of mounting methods, puncture pin profiles, and manifold assemblies.

NEA® (Non-Explosive Actuators) – As with all EBAD products, the GCP is non-pyrotechnic and field reset-able with a minimum qualified life of 30 cycles.

Field Reset-able and Reliable – The GCP is reset by simply re-cocking the Puncture Pin and locking it in place using the tool provided.

Redundant Firing Circuit – As with all EBAD Actuators a redundant SMA circuit is incorporated. This provides complete electrical redundancy as well as mechanical redundancy for the critical trigger element.

Fast Acting – As with all EBAD Actuators a redundant electrical circuit is incorporated to help ensure maximum reliability.

Fast Acting – By directly passing current through the SMA element, EBAD GCPs operate in millisecond time frame making them ideal for high reliability emergency applications.

Auto Shut-Off Switches – Simple Auto Shut Off Switches are incorporated into each GCP to protect the Trigger. This makes them very “user friendly” and operable from a wide range of current and voltages.
